The staff works closely with clients to assist them in completing all required immigration forms and applications, as well as providing advice on their rights and responsibilities.

Provides immigration-related education and support for Chicago’s immigrant community, adapting to the needs of the local immigrant population through a variety of workshops and presentations in both English and Spanish. These workshops cover a range of topics such as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), adjustment of status, citizenship, the U-Visa, power of attorney and know your rights.

Offers immigration-related legal consultation and representation to low-income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in order to ensure that they have the protections they need to establish a safe and stable life in Illinois. NIJC provides direct legal services to and advocates for these populations through policy reform, impact litigation, and public education.

The team also works in partnership with broader coalitions that push for fair immigration reform. For example, Enlace is an active member of the Chicago Immigration Working Group and supports a number of local institutions to act as “sanctuary spaces” for immigrant community members.

Our office is fully bilingual (Spanish and English) and has extensive experience helping clients with all aspects of immigration matters. We have a strong commitment to providing compassionate and effective service that meets the individual needs of our clients.

This office is certified by the Immigration Board of Appeals and has been serving the community since 1985. Our lawyers are highly experienced in immigration law and have developed an outstanding reputation for their expertise and compassion.

Clients come to us to file various immigration applications, including applications for work permits, green cards and visas. Our attorneys work with clients to determine their eligibility for the benefits that they are seeking and to help them navigate the complex and often confusing immigration system.

For a fee, we can assist you in completing all required immigration forms and applications. For additional fees, we can provide an interpreter or a translator for your case.

We have a dedicated caseworker who will guide you through the entire application process and ensure that your case is progressing in a timely manner. We will also work with you to ensure that all required documents are submitted on time and in proper format.

The team is available for appointments, and we welcome walk-ins during business hours. However, we do not accept walk-ins during closed hours or on weekends. Applicants must schedule an appointment at least one week in advance of the date they wish to visit a USCIS field office.

Please check your personal belongings before bringing them to the USCIS office. Under federal law, weapons like firearms, knives and pepper spray are prohibited in all USCIS facilities. Applicants are encouraged to bring a photo ID and check their bags for any potential items that could be considered weapons.
